@U3piano Many thanks, it is a good idea I'd say get both bösendorfer grands for €305, that way you won't have to add a vienna key either! (And if you don't have one I have one for sale haha.) I didn't do that because I can possibly buy the whole synchron piano's standard bundle from someone which includes the bösendorfer, but It's not certain if that will happen yet. I guess you mean Bösendorfer Imperial and Bösendorfer Upright. The Vienna key is needed but, anyway, I have it for my Steinberg products, so I am set on that. But math does not add up on those for 305€. The only way to add up to 305€ is by getting VI and BI... I am puzzled by your comment. On another hand, I could pass this time (I have lots of piano VSTs already and, if I get another one, that would mean less use for the current ones and so less return, so to say, of my investment on them). I have also looked at some hardware to improve my studio, so it could be another option to burn some money

Maybe you misunderstood my post, or i'm misunderstanding yours. I'm not talking about the upright. The vienna imperial is €195, the synchron BI is 210.
195 + 210 = 405.
4 €100 vouchers coat €300
So you would use your 4 vouchers and €5, so buying both bösendorfer grands using the voucher deal costs €305

OK, I will think about that option. But I am balancing towards the hardware thing... Tough decission!

I'm wondering if anybody knows how many velocity layers the new Synchron Bösendorfer Imperial has? I've been looking and cannot find any mention of it. I looked through the entire thread on it here and not a mention of it. The Vienna Imperial has 100 layers, but nothing on the official page nor in any responses. They only mention samples.
I was just curious if anybody knew?

I remember someone on VSL forum asked Paul, their product manager. The answer is about 50-70 layers, less than 100 layers of VI. johnstaf should know more about that.
Piano: Yamaha N3X VST(preference in order): VSL Synchron Pianos, Vienna Imperial, Garritan CFX, VI Labs Modern U, Ivory II American Concert D, Pianoteq

If someone is undecided, here's a recording on the Synchron Bösendorfer to help you decide how you find the sound. I basically just preset the Player Decca setting. That's the cool thing, just click on a preset and it sounds amazing. To be honest, that's important to me. I only reduced pedal noise and added a tiny bit Ribbon and Tube mic, because they're awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkPsKFU62Js&feature=youtu.be

Great choice! Very interested to hear your opinions on them. Personally I plan to not buy any other piano libaries anymore, unless vsl comes with another piano (got 2 vouchers left) or someone else brings something to the table that's so mind-blowing that it very obviously beats everything else, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I have spend about the price of a new Yamaha p515 on vst's since 2018, and as it got out of hand a bit, I have decided that it ends here, with these impressive piano's that I consider the best in th business.

-VSL Vienna Imperial and Synchron Bosendorfer Imperial You did it! Congratulations, I don't think you will regret it. I haven't played around with the synchron alot yet, but I think the vienna imperial is actually my favorite, it's just so realistic, I really feel like my keys are throwing hammers at strings when playing it. If your interested I can share my preset for the close position, I have put in quite a bit of time to even things out and I think the playability exceeds everything else now. The synchron is more clean and tuned to perfection, but the vienna really has something special. Yes, please, share the settings so we can compare with the standard one... it seems like an interesting trip to travel I grabbed this quote from the vpc-1 thread so we can continue in the right thread. https://ufile.io/naj8fi6bThat's my preset for the close position. Interested to hear if it works for me only, or is better than the original for others also!

I am not at my pc right now, but it should have the same extension as the other presets. -edit- When I download it on my phone it says it's a file with a .bin extension. The file is a preset which you can just load up in the vienna imperial player.
