No, I have never met such examples (but this does not mean that they do not exist). I just started looking for such a fact in Elton John; and it turned out the following: in the printed transcription of Funeral, there really are several repetitive minor chords in the second inversion - Am \ E (indicated in red), but in the original recording the chords are different: the first time is a triad C, the second time is Am \ C, and then the third time is C \ G.
In other words, during 64 bars Elton John fundamentally shies away from min \ 5 - despite the tragic context. The same in "My Song" .

You have quoted me and Nahum in the same post. One has nothing to do with the other. I was giving an answer to your question about "6" and "6ths". If there was something you did not understand, you can ask or say so. But just calling it "rocket science" is rather dismissive. I tried to unwrap it for you as best I could. That's why it's long, rather than just using a couple of fancy expressions, and sounding clever.

Okay, I apologise.

No apology necessary. I'd be happy if some of what I wrote helped.

The thing about things being long, is that when you guys discussed "6", it won't be clear unless you realize that there are several systems using that number in different ways. And the only way to make that clear rather than some vague philosophical point, is to go into it a bit.

I just finished sorting out CEGA as C6 myself, because I started in the traditional system and had some things mixed up.

Seems to be one here (Am/E) at 0:26ish. Fascinating stuff
