Hi all,

You know, some of us are waiting for this day to get those items you need grin but have no excuse the rest of the year to buy. But now, at those prices, who can resist? thumb

I will start with my buyings so far, in buying order, and why I needed them:

-SampleTekk Emotional Piano Bundle ($31.60): yes, I finally got that. Am I impressed?. Not much really, but well, some piano sounds could be used in a future project. I have no excuse about needing these, though.

-Fundamentals of Piano Technique-the Russian Method (book, 8.46€ used good): I have always been curious about it, why not taking a look wink ?

-Beyerdynamic DT-770 PRO 250 Ohm (52.84€, like new): I needed it to complete my 80 Ohm pair. Would the higher impedance provide better sound?. Let's see!

-Yamaha UD-WL01 (30.59€, like new): this will be used on my Yamaha Montage

-Sandisk 2TB SSD (165€ new): I need it to host all of those SDD-hungry VSTs!

-Icon Platform M+ (212.40€, B-Stock): I pulled the trigger on this because B-stock units are not too common and because I want a good MIDI controller, with long faders. on top of the VPC1 to work on expression when using orchestral instruments. It can be of course be used also as a mixer and channel controller.

-Several cables, MICs, supports, bag and such to complement my ZOOM H-6 and use it to record my Yamaha U3: well, it was a real need to be able to properly use the H6!

I am struggling about VSL offers... But I don't really need a new piano VST, right? crazy

And you, what has captivated your wallet?

- vsl vienna imperial

Loving it, especially after balancing things out through the per-note volume/eq editor. It's not good that it's needed, but it's good that it's possible. After that, just impressive in every way. Hard to stop playing!

I won't be pre-emting that. I'm the heat turner upper in this house. I like comfort, and to heck with the gas bill.

A fridge!

I’ve been taking my iced tea without ice for way too long.

P.S.

This is ‘on-topic’. A fridge is something I’m ‘buying’ on ‘Black Friday’!

I picked up NI's Noire and really loving it! It may be my new favorite piano library. Also got Rinascimento and Dominus from Fluffy Audio, and Fluid Shorts from Performance Samples. Also might pick up Reference 4 Headphones for mixing on headphones since I can't do much treatment in my living room.

I haven't started my shopping yet, but I hope offers for an SSD with large storage would be available throughout the holiday season so I can buy one to copy all my music files in! Also, I was going to buy the Iso Acoustics ISO Pucks on Sweetwater seeing that they go for $74, but after talking with a few people about whether or not they can really solve the problems I'm having, I decided not to buy that. Perhaps in the future I may go for a pair of ISO 155 stands, but not now. So, a stress free Black Friday for me! smile

After the vienna imperial I also got the synchron piano's standard bundle.

This wasn't an actual black friday deal, but I did buy it today, from another person that wanted to sell it, so it's a black friday buy in my book.

You had no fridge? I can't imagine! I have been drinking my iced tea's with loads of ice, and just a little bit of water and iced tea sirup for years!

No need to rub it in, U3piano!

And for your information, good things come to those who wait (without ice), for now I have a fridge that can make not only cubes, but also ice balls, ice octagons, and even beautifully carved ice swans!

I’m having my new fridge carve me an ice swan as we speak; can your fridge do that?

Lmao! grin

You are living the luxury life right there, I didn't know

I was actually talking about the old-school way, the way I make my iced-tea's.

The silicone/rubber ones are great, because the ice cubes always come out easily, much better than the hard plastic ones that always deliver no or too much ice cubes at once, can recommend them!

I can't have both an actual by-the-push-of-a-button ice cube making fridge and a vst addiction...
