Perhaps we should call them dossiers? Where I wrote maps, I meant to say folders. Your dossiers surely must contain fichiers, right? Nice! Do you speak French? It's cool that you can pull off another language! Meanwhile, the slender CFX is working perfectly -- just keep the X folder and everything is done!

I can speak and read a bit of French. I had nine years of it in school. But I seldom use it.
The word dossier is an English word borrowed from French, so it's well-known.
Fichier was new to me when I first saw it online. As was ordinateur.
Fun stuff.

Fun stuff. As a speaker of English as a second language, these are new words! Thanks for introducing them to me -- perhaps I can now use them in front of my American friends? Going back to piano stuff. As a bit of a conclusion on my part to the topic -- I'm very glad that all of you replied and helped me get the results I needed -- only keeping the classic full samples, and thus the X files (pun unintended)! I love this forum and the community!

Cool for geting it out. I might do the same and assume it’s the same folder in Mac.
But will just move the other folder to a backup in case I want them back 😊

Deleting the files you don't want is clearly the superior method to the one I worked out I think when I was installing, the issue was that the SSD I was targeting was too small for a full install in the first place, so I had to work out a method to only load the perspective(s) that I wanted without hitting capacity.

Hi friends! So I look in the "Data" folder and in the CFX Samples folder, there are 6 folders: 0, 9, V, X, Y, Z. Which files should I keep and which should I delete? Thanks! Sorry to bump this thread but I'm currently installing Garritan CFX full and will also keep the Classic only and I see the installer created these 0, 9, V folders. So, it's safe to delete them (besides the Y and Z), right? Did anyone understand what they are for?

Please be advised: you need to file a “request to bump” form prior to bumping a thread; otherwise, you are in direct violation of our clearly stated rules!
You will receive one Bannon for this violation; please do not force me into a second Bannon (3 Bannons gets you a boat-paddle spanking)!

So much talk about the Garritan CFX! And mine is still unusable! The sound is superb, but the pedaling is rubbish and I cannot fix it!

You can 1/ launch the task monitor 2/ in the performance tab, launch the ressource monitor (The ressource monitor can also be launched with the text field just at the right of the start menu) 3/ in the ressource monitor see the disk activity.
Then you load the different perspectives and see which files are needed.
