U3piano is our top therapist; so yes, you’re in good hands (once again, not literally; I’ve no idea if U3 has arthritis or such).

I can also recommend Mac III, but he’s a tough cookie, so be ready for some tough love from Mac; however, he means well!

Once again, we’re here to help! crazy

I thought I'd stay away for the whole weekend, but a Google search accidentally brought me here late on Sunday evening. So, it was a failed experiment I guess. 😀

U3piano what time slots do you have available?

All these years playing and I still consider myself a novice.

I used to be very regular visitor and used to check the forum many times a day. But, lately, I haven't been using PW forums a lot - maybe once or twice a week. I really hate the software of this forum - it is missing many convenience features to track the conversations you are part of and which have been updated. If I compare it to other forums, the software is outdated. For example, there is no way to find all the threads that you have participated in and which have newer comments since you last visited. Many other forums (e.g. gearslutz) have excellent "Participated" feature to track this. So, keeping up with threads you care about becomes a bit of a chore and time sink. The forum keep slogging me out every 2-3 weeks even though I have checked in the button that says keep me logged in. Also, the forum doesn't really track which threads I have read or not well, if I use the forums on multiple devices (which I do). These issues combined with increased work load, have basically caused me to not use the forum as much. That said, this is still the best piano forum on the internet due to excellent subscribers and commentators.

Actually I'm more of a experience expert, so I hate to say it, but I'm available about anytime of the day.

I check every day. Sometimes I'll check frequently if I'm following a topic, but other than that not nearly as often as I used to, as only a handful of my forum friends are still posting.

The players in this forum change gradually over time.
Many new people register on the site, and some of them become frequent posters.
Meanwhile long-standing members, including some who post frequently, leave and do not return.

I have periods when I spend most of my time in the pianist corner and only glimpse through the thread titles in the DP forum and have no desire to even read them.

.....our most recent loss was Abdol; some have called him a black sheep (amongst other things), but still, it was Abdol who taught us that an arranger is not a workstation, and it was Abdol..........well, that was about it; but still, he no longer is, Abdol.

And yes, where’s TwoBitJane22, and the always on point TjMax12, and Masai49?

May we honor them with a moment of silence; their sacrifices will never be forgotten, for they were all for one and one for all! thumb

I also checked many times per day, and then noticed I wasn't checking as much. Part of that was my job which got more busy, and part is because the software is challenging as others have mentioned.

I'm still on daily, but how much I participate really depends on the current hot-topic trends. The most active threads of the past few days haven't been quite as interesting for me, but everything goes in cycles round here.

Likewise. I see threads of interest, and some not. It often happens that there are many at the same time, leading to my heavier participation, or dwindling participation.

Hi.

I only have an acoustic piano, but am interested in digitals/software, etc. and check in here from time to time. The responses here in this thread are a hoot! I've enjoyed reading through them.

I'm responding in hope of helping Osho who says there is no way to find all the threads we have participated in.

Osho, if I'm understanding you correctly, I think I have some good news for you. We can find a list of all of the posts we participate in. Osho, I hope this will help…

- To find posts you have participated in:

- Find your PW User name on the upper right.

- Click on the down arrow to the right of your user name

- A window will pop up.

- Look a few lines down for a conversation balloon icon (I don't know what else to call it.)

- The icon is close to the top of the window that popped up - you don't need to scroll down the list that begins with "Preferences"

- Hover over the conversation balloon icon - "Your Posts" will pop up.

- Click on "Your Posts" - a PW web page will pop up that shows all of the threads you have posted on.

Hopefully this is one of the things you've been wishing for on PW. I apologize if it's not.

Jeanne W

P.S. Regarding how often I check in to PW, I've been a PW member since 2004. Visited and posted on PW in other forums, quite a lot during the time I was looking for an acoustic piano. Drifted off after that. There have been periods of time since then that I didn't check in much or not at all. Lately, though, I've been visiting every so often and I visit the Digital forums, too. Lots of knowledge and good info here. I keep hoping the ideal virtual or digital piano arises!

P.P.S. A parting thought: I wish there were brick and mortar shops that had the software/pc, etc. set ups, or that I knew someone who had a set up at home I could experience for myself. It's scary to me, though, that if I get one I basically have to be computer savvy to get and keep the equipment working properly. Yikes! Kudos to all of you who take this challenge on and run with it!

Thanks for mentioning this. I am aware of that but that doesn't do what I want. This just lists all my posts, with one post at a time. What I am looking for is a list of all the threads in which I have posted for which there have been new updates since I checked the forum last. And, it should list each thread (not each post). And, clicking on each thread, will take me to all the new responses since I posted it in that thread last. This would make it easy to follow up on the conversations in which you have particiated.
