I received my new ex display Roland fp 60 today. I’m pleased it is exactly as I expected and sounds as good as I could expect for a slab piano I can still move about by myself. That was important otherwise I would have gone with the FP90.

However I have noticed a slight distortion on the right channel when a note or chord from the middle of the keyboard is sustained. It’s more noticeable as the sound dies away and not noticeable when playing more quickly.

Obviously I have contacted the shop and expect a replacement or an engineer to fix it. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar. It doesn’t happen when using headphones but doesn’t seem related to volume.

not an issue on headphones? so you think it's a problem related to the speakers? When I tested various copies of this unit I never noticed such an issue. Anecdotal but I suspect this is a rare problem and you were unfortunate.

The strange thing is that it isn’t worse at higher volumes and is more apparent as the sound is dying away.

Yes, unfortunate!
