I have a Volodos album from way back with this and some other exceptional arrangements. You refer to it as elaborate but in my view this is what makes an arrangement worthwhile. I find that a lot of arrangements feel like a lesser version of the original but in this case the piece feels new and rewritten for the piano in a way that rivals the original. Very much on the same level of Liszt-Schubert.

Yes, I agree with you that Volodos has written some very exceptional arrangements, outside of the well-known Turkish March barnstormer. This arrangement, in my mind, stands as one of the highlights. Such sumptuous textures...
