Just wanted to give a heads up for books on sale. I just ordered the Joy of Christmas book 4, the tracks sound SO lovely and I'm dying to play something easy and relaxing, lol. Anyway, they have these at different levels, so though I'd share it here. I'm a big fan of Piano Safari's teaching system, I really can't say enough good about it. Enjoy, here's the link to book 4, the others are on there, as well, if you need a more beginner level. smile

Nice music. It's still a bit early to celebrate Christmas so have to wait until late November. The only Christmas songbook I have is "Merry Christmas Charlie Brown" by Vince Guaraldi with Jazzy arrangements from the 1960s.

Right now I'm still working on the exercise books recommended by my teacher. To be historically accurate, some people think Christ was actually born in September. The first Christmas was supposedly celebrated by the Roman Emperor Constantine around the Winter Solstice and the date was fixed in December since.

Hi ShiroKuro. I laughed out loud when I saw your post. I feel the same but then I listened to these beautiful pieces and immediately thought hey there's a new Christmas book to buy. 😀

I picked it up to. I like that they are a little more complex and interesting than the typical melody on chords carols, but they are at a level where I can actually learn them by Christmas. I do have a minor complaint which is that the binding is a couple measly staples, and after one night the pages are already separating. I think I'm going to cut the edge and comb bind it.

A calm Christmas, I vote for that!
I await the arrival of "Christmas Calm" arrangements by Philip Keveren.
Will report back!
