I'm interested in getting the Casio CGP‑700 because it has 88 weighted keys, speakers and a variety of tones and rhythms. However, I've just seen that it was released back in 2015 which makes me think twice before purchasing since I would expect Casio to have a replacement ready soon with some more modern features (e.g. bluetooth audio and Bluetooth MIDI).

Is there any regularity with which Casio release new keyboards?

Many thanks!

Casio came out with the all new PX-S1000 and PX-S3000 last year. They were sharp looking, thin, light but got zero love from the classical players.

Casio could be working on another new action for all we know. The CGP-700, with its color touchscreen, sound system, included stand/pedal is a great value. I bought a MP11se last year and finally sold my PX-560; I actually miss it a lot.

If you're able to get a good price on a CGP-700, I wouldn't worry about waiting until next year to see if there's a new model coming out.
