It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
"Music, rich, full of feeling, not soulless, is like a crystal on which the sun falls and brings forth from it a whole rainbow" - F. Chopin "I never dreamt with my own two hands I could touch the sky" - Sappho
I've been playing the piano since Jan '18. More recently, I passed Grade 6 with distinction and plan to take Grade 7 in late 2021.
I am documenting my progress, recitals and experiences of learning how to play the piano as an adult on my YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/PeterHontaru
Thank you very much! It was my first fugue, so a real challenge, but also, very fun to play
Updating my list with a Mozart sonata. I will be posting the other movements in the following weeks, along (hopefully) with the C minor prelude that goes along with the fugue.

@Sol Finker: thank you! That's not my piano, it was a booked room in a place called Jacque Samuels in London Beautiful Bechstein and it feels incredible

I won't make it to 40 pieces obviously but I am very proud of me for sticking to a plan and practicing almost daily.

Updating the list with the rest of the Mozart sonata. No way I will get to 40 pieces this year, but at least I am achieving my goal of learning a Chopin Nocturne, a WTC Prelude & Fugue, and a full classical era sonata
I'll hold off on posting my recital submission (along with the rest of the Beethoven sonata) until tomorrow, but that should bring me to 24. Still not yet close to 40, but we'll see if I can get there before the end of the year with a couple of Christmas pieces!
Seems that I forgot to post by #7, so here's both 7 and 8 at once:
1 Indian Serenade <Recording>(by Martha Mier) 2 The Hobbit - Theme from the movie <Recording>(by Howard Shore) 3 Everglades <Recording>(by Martha Mier) 4 Bei Mir Bistu Shein <Recording>(by Sholom Secunda) 5 Treasures from the Sea <Recording>(by Martha Mier) 6 To a Wild Rose (Opus 51, No. 1) <Recording>(by Edward MacDowell) 7Genesis <Recording>(by Martha Mier) 8Erinnerung (Album for the Young, No. 28) <Recording>(by Robert Schumann)
