Polish and cleaning can certainly be done at home. Piano black shows scratches and smudges fairly easily in the right lighting so I wouldn't be too worried if the finish looks like it has some cleaning residue on it.

Personally, I'd rather do the cleaning myself. I've seen dealers simply dust things off with windex and a random towel and while that works, I feel more comfortable using a clean microfiber towel and more appropriate cleaning products to clean the finish.

Congratulations on the purchase. Do you have a place decided for it? There's always the ever entertaining question of room acoustics and placement now.

It's in our living room. It's 16 x 24ish with a cathedral ceiling. It seems to sound pretty good to my very untrained ear. smile

Congratulations on the U3! It is very hard to do better than a Yamaha acoustic piano.
