Hi , I live in New Zealand which is very small market. It's relatively easier to find Yamaha G or C series grand but I've never seen relatively newer model Kawai grand such as RX or GX.
There are approximately 13 Yamaha G or C series on the used piano market and they are remained to unsold for more than 1year. I found 10years old K.Kawai RX2 posted on the website two days ago but it was sold out in 3hrs!!

I really liked to buy Kawai RX but there is no way to buy except importing from other country with paying shipping and importing tax and GST and no opportunity to inspect.

Does anyone know why Kawai is so hard to find even though they are very popular?

Is the situation just because New Zealand is small market?

Sounds like the distributor/importer or dealer was less active with the brand in the recent past.

Maybe ask around among piano technicians as to who has one, and if they’re thinking of selling or downsizing.
