Hi I have a yamaha clp340 which I have owned for about 10 years now.I have been really pleased with it but the some of the keys are starting to play up ie playing loud and I don't have a clue on the cost of possibly fixing it.I have seen a used Roland lx 7 near me for sale and the cost is £1500 or near offer. Does anyone own one and can tell me if its a good sound? the speakers say 2 x 30w and my yamaha has 2 x 40w although it is around 10 years older than the Roland son not sure if with newer technology the Roland would still sound better. Many thanks

The Amps on Roland are very efficient so I wouldn't worry about that. The problem comes into the Roland uses modeled technology to generate the piano sound. Some folks just don't like the Roland modeled sound. You have to try it yourself to see if you are okay with it. On the plus side you can always replace the sound using software pianos.

All these years playing and I still consider myself a novice.
