Oh, that is not an attractive piano!

Does the word "ugly" apply, depending upon taste, of course?

I would take it for free but only if I could keep a piano cover on it. I only like about one third of the newer Steinway art case designs, and I think this is one of the worst.

Does that included a free tuning?

I guess the piano itself is ok, but the legs and the bench are horrible. Not my cup of tea at all.... Although, with the right kind of interior, it could work...

More to the point (IMO), how many of these are they making? I wonder just how many fit the profile of their target customers... :P

Oh it's so pathetic, the Steinway craftsmen t-shirt "I BUILD WORLD'S BEST PIANO" smirk
As far as I know, Hamburg S&S's craftsmen don't have to wear this ridiculous thing!

Take a brown piano, rough-cut legs for it out of a tree trunk and have a kid draw all over it with a black marker pen.

What do you get....

It may look alright in one of those "Cabin Houses" made of logs of timber .
Actually I could design a better piano than that. But it is a "Stein Ways", perhaps with different legs and suitable surroundings ? Not for me.thank you.

Dogperson, that's cool! Thanks for posting it!

So, does Architectural Digest make it a point to profile pianos? I seem to remember Drake's piano was profiled there as well (the Bosie, was it? With artwork by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami...)

So I'm evidently the odd ball. I like it, but it definitely wouldn't work in our house. It's definitely not for everyone. It would look stunning in a home or building with the right rustic architecture.

But what on earth does a Steinways piano have to do with African art 🤔 ? It is just confusing. The piano is a magnificent brand often owned by wealthy people. Of course when you think of it ,most of us are wealthy compared to the poor in Africa .......but why African Art ?

Oh, well, what does Architectural Digest know about designing rooms with pianos? But it was a fun look; thanks ShiroKuro!
