My new Estonia L190 arrived this week! The gallery is here: http://forum.pianoworld.com/ubbthreads.php/galleries/3030612/estonia-l190.html

I'm not sure how to embed the photos into this post; any tips are appreciated.

In mid-August I started the piano upgrade search from my 48" Essex, which was 3 years young. Now that we were sold on having the piano be an important part of life, we were ready to upgrade. In our ranch style home, there was simply no room for a grand. And we aren't moving... so, we undertook a small renovation. We turned a typical room with a standard door, and did the following:
- Moved and enlarged door frame, adding french doors.
- Added a 'spotlight' light fixture.
- Added crown moulding & a chair rail.
- Repainted entire room.
- Snazzy new carpet.

The room is 10' x 13', and the piano looks incredible. The room is not fully complete, as I will add a desk and bookcase to the sides ("behind" the doors). But we are very, very happy with how it all turned out!

Thanks to the PW forum for assisting in my search!

Ray, my congratulations for your new Estonia 190! Besides other marvellous features, these pianos have to me perhaps the most beautiful piano brand logo ever (the second I think is the Sauter). And your new piano room is fantastic.

Hope you enjoy it for many, many years! Best. smile

Congratulations! Estonia pianos are beautiful. Even better after good regulation and voicing, and a couple of years of 'breaking in'.

Hi Ray3127, what a great setting for your new Estonia!

It sounds like we are on about the same timeline: I started on a digital piano, got a good upright in 2018, and traded it in on an Estonia 168 that arrived yesterday. I wish you and yours a lot of joy with your beautiful new piano!

Wow, I'm speechless, ray3127! What a fantastic room for a fantastic piano!

I'm sure your Estonia will provide you a lot of satisfaction for many years to come. Best wishes!
