Hi, is there any way of verifying if this piano sale might be fake/scam other than looking at the ASIN being B014Q7IVHG?

Link to Kawai ES8Link to the product page.

I know that the price drop might be due to a new version coming out but I'm still afraid this might be a scam or a used piano since the price seems to be quite good. I can't see the specifications on that page either so I don't even have a way of knowing if the pedal that's supposed to be included is in there.

If I buy and do get scammed, even though it'll be a worthless hassle I can still get a refund from amazon correct?

The seller seems to sell random products from different categories as it can be seen from here.

TL;DR is it normal for a piano do drop in price this much if it's discontinued or it this a scam?

Best regards

I would not buy a digital piano from Amazon. You should have a local retailer available for any issues.

Agreed, the only reason I'm considering buying from amazon this time is due to the low price the piano is at, since it usually goes for 1200-1300$.

Hard to accept this as genuine, especially when you consider there are probably people who would pay a premium for it.

The item is being sold by "Kaori Salud SL", however checking this vendor's storefront lists skin creams and cosmetics.

At the very least, this vendor does not appear to be a musical instrument specialist. You may wish to send the vendor a message to double-check the situation.

Kind regards,
James

They might sell some random 88 keys keyboard and choose the first ASIN Amazon suggested to them. That looks like a seller who has no clue what they are selling (and that is for sure not a Kawai ES8, as the clueless don't really know how to acquire such special merchandise).

Just use common sense and spare yourself the hassle.

Just the fact that the word "PLAIN" was misspelled as "PLAN" turns me away.

Suspicious posting in Spain and a seller with questionable feedback...what could go wrong?

Perhaps the misspelling of ‘plain’ has something to do with the seller being from “Spain”.

But still, I would not go for it.

Conversely, I see another kind of scam going around; where items are priced too high rather than too-good-to-be-true low; for example, a GranTouch DGT7 for $11,000 on eBay! I’ve also seen N1s selling for the price of the N1X, etc......

I don't know Spanish but I'm pretty sure that it translates to '2nd hand and like new'....

It's on the German Amazon too and also with the notice "Contact me first. All orders will be cancelled."

What's up with that. Either the item is available for sale or not. No inbetweens. 🤔

Meh...

That's a scam.

Main page says "second hand, new condition."

Go to seller's page and it shows one review but hundreds of items for sale.

Then seller's store states all items are new but you need to contact some gmail before purchasing.

Edit - I removed comment about Spain as truth may trigger somebody.

So that's just a simple "Send me money outside of Amazon and receive nothing at all" scam. Report it to Amazon and this "dealer" is gone.

Well, I don't know what your "Spanish truth" was supposed to be, but this seller is (supposedly) located in Germany.

It's also included on an "Amazon scam stores" list: https://preis-king.com/ratgeber/amazon-fake-shops-im-august-2020/

(The page is in German.)

The latest info is something like: "Amazon seems to have responded. The suspicious information was removed from the imprint and the fake products were deleted. The retailer seems to be in control of his shop and the articles again."

It was listed as a "hacked account".

But who knows what's the latest status.

This is scam. There are plenty of articles. Even on amazon you see fraud and scam. There are plenty of information available about theis exact same scenario where the seller is asking you to contact them via "email".

These are all fraud and you can report them to amazon.
