Hello
I was just playing my Yamaha today which I have had for 6 years and play everyday. I have never noticed this but today I can hear a tin like sound whenever I lift the sustain pedal. It is very quiet but can be heard at times and especially when not playing any notes. I did also move the piano a few days ago. The sound is like the strings vibrating but I never heard it before. Just wondering is there something wrong
Thank you <3

Daniel

There is usually a little sound from the damper felt rubbing against the string when they are lifted. This is normal. Problems usually are when dampers are lowered.

Of course, there could be some foreign matter which is causing some extra noise.
