Hi all,

I've recently purchased a Casio GP-510, and while overall I'm very pleased with it, I've been having a weird issue. Whenever I connect it to my computer via USB, the sustain pedal starts acting up. Quite frequently it "repedals" even though the pedal is fully pressed. I've monitored this in a MIDI monitor application and basically what happens is that the piano quickly sends a signal that I'm taking my foot off the pedal, but on the next millisecond, the piano sends a signal the pedal is being fully pressed again.

I've tried three different cables, but nothing worked. Mind you, if the piano is not connected to the computer, there are absolutely no issues at all, but I prefer to play using VSTs.

Has anyone ever had this problem?

Update:

Seems the problem only happens in one specific computer. Tried an old laptop and the pedal works flawlessly. Wonder how to fix that?

Holding pedal down and bending usb cable probably will give similar result.
USB cables are very different quality as I discovered, especially if longer that 1.5m or so they start to act up.

So other usb cable is my tip.
