I have been seriously thinking about buying the NU1X.
I have been playing for four months and just got a new teacher.

She strongly suggest a get an acoustic piano.
I now have my reason to convince my wife to buy an hybrid piano. :-)

My main concern for the future are:

Being able to play trills and accent on my chords for example.

For example my teacher is asking me to play the lead note louder in a chord and it is not as good on a digital.

With an hybrid NU1X can you do those things like on an acoustic piano?

Conversely I found my VPC1 and ES8 quite a bit easier to control than my Kawai K300 and Yamaha U1 - can't speak to the NU1X.

Regardless I would strongly urge you to at least consider getting an acoustic and keeping a digital for silent practice.
I started playing on digitals and my first experience with an acoustic upright was kind of underwhelming - but it has really, really grown on me - the tactile feel of the whole thing, the harmonics - everything about it is more organic and alive and to me it adds something to the whole experience that I doubt a digital ever will.

What is your current piano ?

I don’t want an accoustic. I am really interested in the NU1X. I just want to know if it is sensitive like an accoustic piano like I explained before.

I used to own an NU1X for a week. The touch is exactly the same as that of a U1. Now, obviously you're not going to get that same tactile feeling and there will be certain kind of harmonic sounds you won't be able to generate out of a digital piano, but it can definitely satisfy your needs for a real upright action.

Well I just bought an NU1X, supposed to deliver it on Monday.

May I ask why you own one for just one week?

That's fast. I decided to trade my NU1X in plus top-up for the N1X because grand action feels so good smile
