Agreed but they are just asking prices. Some good opportunities available today if you are local.

Thanks newer player for puttting this together. As someone actively looking at buying an N2, N1X, or an Nv10 soon this has been really helpful.

There are some great deals from time to time, particularly if you are flexible on timeline. So if you see something you like at a good price jump on it.

The Nv10 rarely comes to the used market and I don't recall any compelling ask prices.

The n1x is too new to be common in the used market also.

I don't think so.

The Prices Paid thread shows 3 sales of the N1 in the US back in 2011 through 2013, average $7267, std dev $643.

It also shows 9 sales of the N1X over the last two years, average $7838, std dev $719.

So that old, used N1 priced at $6500 might sit unsold for a long time.

There is an N3 in Atlanta on eBay with a $7500 ask.

And an N3 in West Palm Beach on Craigslist with a $10,200 ask.

And Kawai Novus NV5 in Pittsburg on Craigslist for $6,500 ask.

Interestingly, we bumped into dozens of Lego grand piano 21323 for sale on the internet. So those are easy to find now even if the stores are sold out.

I'd be a little leary of the condition of that N3 for $5K in MN. Seems too good to be true unless there's something wrong with it.

I bought a used N3 from a local authorized Yamaha dealer (they got it as a trade-in/trade-up deal) and they gave me a 90 day store warranty and they said they already had the tech go over it. Yet I still had to have it serviced in-home (after delivery) twice for 2 different issues that required 2 different electronic board replacements. So unless you're local to test out the piano thoroughly, I'd be very leary about buying them sight unseen without a warranty to be shipped in from out-of-state, especially for a very low price like that N3.

Also make sure you have a qualified Yamaha AvantGrand tech available in your area in case you need it serviced. They seem to be a rather rare breed that only live in large metropolitan areas.

Helpful wisdom as you own an N3 that required quite a bit of "refurbishing".

At this price, still worth a look if one is in the area and is interested in digital pianos.

Yeah, I agree that it's still worth checking out at that price. It doesn't hurt to inquire more about it anyway. Just be careful. If I were in the area, I'd check it out for sure.
