I recently updated my music room.

I was using a simple Z-style stand for my piano and speaker stands for my monitors. I decided to design and build my own "piano study desk". The piano is now on a sliding drawer that I can pull in and out as needed. There's a shelf below where I can store my sheet music and books. And I replaced the little laptop I was using with a new All-in-One touch-screen PC. My new setup is working absolutely wonderfully.

That’s ingenious. thumb

I thought that it was some sort of baby grand when I first saw it.

I should post an update after we move it.

I found the piano room eventually.

It reminded me of playing 'Tom Raider' laugh

Lovely house.

I have two main locations for piano playing at my home (and a third one, but that is mostly synth based, so is off-topic here)

#1 My acoustic piano setup, a 1976 Yamaha U3H (sorry for the top-less, I find it more beautiful this way, but it is usually with its cover on):

#2 My not too fancy but practical piano VIs setup, built around the Kawai VPC1:

EB5AGV - that's a lot of keyboards! I would be seriously intimidated sitting in front of all those...

Thanks, Sam!

It might be a creative solution, but I'm not yet sure whether it is also a clever one. You know, when making videos for my online course, usually late at night (here is a picture of my current recording set-up), I have to jump over this very fence each time I made a mistake and need to re-start recording. :-)

Looking forward to my daughter growing up. On the other hand, she's sweet the way she is, so... daddy's happy to keep on jumping, and jumping, and jumping!

There is a story as to how this happened, but for now, just thought I would post the picture.

Hi Brian, how nice to have not one but two pianos. Do you have a duet partner?

Playing the piano is learning to create, playfully and deeply seriously, our own music in the world.

Bought a new piano and couldn't sell the old one? (this happened to me!)
The pianos are brother and sister and couldn't be separated?
Two rich uncles died and left you two pianos?
The word has gotten out - you love upright pianos - and somebody left one on your doorstep?

Can you spot the piano?

It's in a nook behind the bench, a lovely practice spot.

Those two look great! Be a shame to get rid of either but you could turn one onto a digital . . .
