I totally agree but some people actually enjoy drama and conspiracies... Again, no harm done if you were not simply rehashing this discussion on purpose. Lets wait for official announcements. And hope that there is an es model with GFCompact...

Leaks may get removed and you can get a Bannon the forum for posting something political.

😉

This is no leak, it's my own personal view of what might be released in the near future, also I don't think this is a matter for government, its a portable piano not covid19😁

I'll just say I'm utterly confused at the turn of discussion in this thread! Maybe if Kawai just makes a public release, we can put it all to bed smile

I'm sure Steve Bannon knows what it means to get a Bannon.

So, after a Bannon you have to wait for a Bannoff before posting?

If those are really the specs, I'm really not seeing much difference between the two models other than the keyboard action, and a few sounds/polyphony. Both are a step up from the ES8 in speaker power from 15Wx2 to 20Wx2. How much difference in weight can there be? Why these two models instead of one that's an ES8 successor and one that's an ES110 successor? I guess I'm not up on what the difference is between Progressive Harmonic Imaging and Harmonic Imaging XL.

Or maybe the actual specs will have more differences than are apparent here. Similar to the way the ES110 looks very different from the ES8 beyond its technical specs, in terms of user interface buttons, text display, and the like.

Who knows. I'm not sure how robust Kawai's logistics & supply chain is currrently: MP11-SE hasn't been in stock in the UK for months, and Gear4Music has an estimated date of 26th November. That resupply has slipped by two months since I've started watching it with any interest.

This is frustrating. I’m a music student and was planning to buy the ES8 and it’s been sold out for 3 months. Been waiting patiently for the update to buy the ES8 upgrade before classes start (in a week). Cmon Kawai! I’m practically begging to give you my money!

I honestly might. I prefer the Kawai sampling way more to Yamaha however. More body and fullness and less compressed sounding.

I’ve been reading that new ES8 updates were due in August and was waiting, but now it’s September and still no update..

I take this as a hint that the new models are coming smile. But when?

That does not answer the question. :P

You can still wait patiently knowing how long and for what you're waiting wink
