I can’t find them in stock anywhere, in store or online. I even checked Ebay for possibly a used one. I read that they are backordered and I’m sure the pandemic is having an effect as well. However could it be possible that they are being discontinued and replaced soon?

The P-515 isn't very old --

. . . I'll bet that, just as the bicycle factories are running at capacity,
. . . . so are the DP factories.

Another consideration:

I follow this forum pretty closely, and I don't hear people saying:
. . . . . "The P-515 isn't competitive against the newer DP's from other makers".

Those comments are quick to appear, when a DP is becoming un-competitive.

I very much doubt the instrument will be replaced any time soon.

More likely, the Covid-19 pandemic is affecting the production, supply, and distribution of instruments and the various parts used.

Kind regards,
James

It’s way too new to get discontinued. Supply chain problems. I couldn’t find one to buy when I took one of my students shopping a month ago, even in a major metro.

I warned about the oncoming P-515 drought but no one listened.

“Get thy P-515 now, ye”, I yelled at the top of my lungs, but ye did not listen.

“The drought is coming, and ye shalt be left stranded if ye dost not act upon my message”, I wrote in a last attempt at saving ye, but ye ignored my message, and now ye shall pay for this sin!

It is not only P515, the stock of other low price - mid-range pianos is also depleted in the US - to a degree you can only have a few models available - just try to look for something else and you see it.

Mwah....two living loony-tunes; one Brit with a certain earthy northern charm, one American who is incapable of saying a sensible thing, both in beautiful harmony.

I just tried one out a few weeks ago in Orlando. The store location I was in currently doesn’t show as having any P515s in stock online, but might be worth a call if you know you want to buy one. No one was in there, so I doubt it’s gone already. They had more items on the floor, than what is being shown as their online inventory

Music & Arts is a chain down here and their website says they’ll have the black ones in stock in September. (9/28 for black and 10/10 for white)

I think it's because pretty much every college piano student in America and Europe is ordering one right now.... that or a Roland FP90 or a Kawai ES8

That was likely me. They don't have them in stock, I'm reserving one that is due in soon. Hopefully within a couple of weeks. Likely by the end of September. Or Christmas.

Fingers crossed that the container ship makes it...

Just checked Musician's Friend and, like every place I've checked, they say they are out too. I keep hearing the date October 2nd is when everyone seems to be getting a shipment in.
