Are you retiring around Pittsburgh area MacMacMac. My wife's cousin lives South of Pittsburgh. We were there and it is a nice area.

All these years playing and I still consider myself a novice.

We're bound for the north side. Butler county most likely.

I find that even detuned pianos have musical uses.

Why not pick up a new musical genre like the blues, ragtime, or boogie woogie? That could be pretty entertaining.

I can hardly imagine something more boring 🤮 Sometimes I think it's so much better that the piano is only hobby to me. I would certainly hate piano if I had to follow a "regimen".

These ultra rich people must be forced to support musicians. And like most rich people, they need a $250,000+ grand piano to gather dust...

So...

Force them to buy one! And if they don't, humiliate them, chastise them, tell them they are not "real" kazillionaires, they are cheap bastards, etc. Then, drink as much wine as you can stand, and pour the rest into that firewood upright.

These people ought to be ashamed of their wealth on many levels. They, like McKenzie Bezos, must give away half of their money. She should give it all away to musicians. DM me if she's interested...

No piano around?
I’d just open Pianoteq on my laptop and play the Bechstein DG.

With the laptop keyboard? Anyhow, don't tell MacMacMac to play Pianoteq, that's just cruel. grin

A computer keyboard is a major impediment to playing piano.
But Pianoteq is likewise a major impediment.
So it seems the two were made for each other! smile

[creepy laugh effect and eerie music starts] Plot for a Criminal Minds episode with Mac as victim, the serial killer offers him the chance to escape; the condition is he plays a digital with Pianoteq for one hour. Or die. [creepy laugh effect and eerie music slowly fades] I think Mac will chose the latter. smile
