This one is the best second hand piano for quality/price that I can find in the region. This is a piano that has not been used for quite long time, there are some imperfections for the age. In effect there is a slight noise when releasing the key due to the lost performance of the hammer rest rail cloth and some keys are a little bit slow to go back, but those issues are quite acceptable. The mechanic is still very good even compared to some very recent pianos I have tried.
As any of the Soviet Era product, the no essential parts don't exist. So it doesn't seem a luxury piano, but it is still very nice appearance.
I don't want to compare it to Kawai and Yamaha because I don't know what has been changed recently. I have played a new Schimmel 125 and a new Hoffman 115 for very long time. In effect, Compared to Schimmel, the resonance of Petrof is better, but the sound pitch of Schimmel is more accurate. Compared to Hoffman, the Petrof seems better in every aspect.
This piano seems good to play Chopin, Debussy maybe also Bach, but not very suitable to play with kind of music like Schumann's toccata.
Anyway, I am very happy with this purchase, I hope I can use it for some times.

very good technic. I think we have the same piano: the screw positions and the keyboard cover look exactly the same.

Bach is great with this piano. Mine is older version, the top cover is different. The wood color of yours is better.

I enjoyed the music video, Max! Is that your wife/daughter playing? Either way, they are very good! Fast fingers! Very talented! Your piano sounded nice too.

And Zonzi, congratulations on your Petrof 125! I owned an early 2000s (2002?) Petrof P116 (46") studio upright for a while. Likely the best upright piano I have ever owned. The tone was very mellow. In fact, a bit too mellow for my oldies rock-n-roll taste in music. smile

By-the-way, welcome to Piano World!

All the best!

Rick

I enjoyed watching your tuning video, Max! Your tuning technique is way better than mine. I don't use the felt mute strip procedure. I just mute off the right and left strings of the three string unison individually with two rubber mutes, tune the middle string, and then the right and left strings. Takes me a lot longer, but I'm not in a hurry.

I like your guitar pick/chipping method too. You are a good tuner, Max!

I like your new tuning hammer too. Looks like a nice one! smile

All the best!

thanks you very much, Rick.
I think so that method of chipping has place be when we work tuning in high region of strings piano. It's comfortable for our ears,I'm think.
