I am learning this piece. I am ok hands separately and have worked out the fingering to legato all 3 voices and when to hold notes and change fingers. I'm finding it hard to put them together. The piece is only rated henle level 4 but finding it hard as I can't focus on 3 lines at once. Any tips please. Thanks x

What do you mean by "focus on three lines"? I don't think you have to be hearing three lines in your head if that's what you mean.

There are three lines, or maybe call them voices, going on at once. I cant follow them well at the same time so take a lot of wrong turns and wrong fingers which makes it hard. Looking for any practice suggestion other than separating the voices and playing very slowly. Thanks

I don't think you should separate out the voices. Just practice the RH and LH separately. And maybe do most of the practice on the LH. Maybe just work on one or two measures at a time. Write in the fingering. Practice at half speed in the beginning.

Contrary to most opinions, i dont think you should separate the voices in the beginning. Unless you have a very developped skill of thinking contrapunctally, assembling the voices from separate lines wont work. It is important to understand how the piece is built but it is difficult to use directly to play the piece. So my suggestion is to put hands together and learn how to play by small sections. Once you are comfortable playing together, then you can practice playing one line and see how it fits with the other lines, ie disasembling the whole to understand how each voice plays its role. But it will take time, so be prepared to spend quite some time on this first one .....

This is what I was trying to say but much more clearly explained.

Thank you I'll try small sections hands together. Good idea 👍

I agree. To separate all 3 voices all along the piece is extremely difficult. Focus just on highlighting the entries of the subject. And not even all of them, just the ones that are more evident. Sinfonias are very difficult pieces anyway. Don't be fooled by ratings or by general misconceptions.
