The CLP311 is from 1996. Too old. I would not buy a piano more than five years old.
Suzuki is a junk brand.
So I'd reject both of those.

If you can find Kawai in your area, try considering the Kawai CN series too.

Agree with the statement those pianos are too old. Yamaha new series is coming out so you might be able to get a good deal on the current CLP600 line. Also Beowulf suggestion o the Kawai CN series is good to try.

All these years playing and I still consider myself a novice.

The first question in all such discussions should be:

. . . What is your budget ?

and the second should be:

. . . Why are those particular DP's on your list?

Thanks --

Easily a new Arius. Personally, I would recommend a YDP-S54 or a YDP-164. Not TOO expensive but has some pretty decent action and nice sound.

Finally bought the P515

Maybe a... YDP-S34? It's a downgrade from the YDP-S54 due to worse action and worse speakers... but the CFX sampling is good. Only has GHS action however.

There are threads on "best dp under $1,000" . Suggestions usually include the Roland FP-30, the Kawai ES-110, a Yamaha P125, and a Casio Privia (PX-160 or one of its successors -- e.g. CGP-700).

If you can spend over $500, IMHO you shouldn't look at older, used DP's. Good new ones are in your price range.
