Hello everyone , i’m a beginner in piano and decided to learn. I Live in a small apartment and so my digital piano has to be slim. Also I would like it to be a piece of furniture. My budget is 1000-1500 dollars . If you were to make this decision what would you get? I found the following slim pianos
-yamaha s54
-roland f140
-korg c1

Am I missing something in this price range? Thank you in advance for any suggestions for a total newbie smile

P-515? It's pretty slim and you could probably get it for 1500 with a stand, triple pedal and bench w/ coupons... YDP-S54 is pretty nice too, but speakers may not be as clear as P-515's and action is not as good... Roland F140 is essentially their FP-10 in a console with better speakers... Korg C1 has really nice speakers. Action is very important so you should make sure you try all the actions (Yamaha's GH3, Yamaha's NWX, Korg's RH3, Roland's PHA-4). Casio also has pianos too. Here's a blind test on the piano sounds of the pianos above (not the same digital pianos but the same sound engine): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd6EtQKFaGk
Of course, the piano sounds will sound different due to the speakers but it is a good representation. Korg is not in the video so you should listen to their piano samples too (IMO they're not as good as Yamaha's or Kawai's). Oh yeah, and did I mention Kawai? Look into them too. Action and sound are the most important things in a DP.

Finally bought the P515

Other slim options are the Casio Privia models and many of the portable models that do come with an optional furniture stand such as Roland FP10/30/60, Kawai ES-110, Yamaha P125.

Kawai's discontinued CL36 might also be available.

Dexibell H1 might be slim too.

And I almost forgot the Roland DP603, but it might be too expensive. (And the Dexibell too...)

+1.

Those might not be your idea of "a piece of furniture", but they _do_ have wooden stands available, and if space is tight, they're a good bet.

I'd go for the Casio Privia PX870, best value and arguably the best piano in that price range. Looks nice too ...furniture?
