Hi all,

Good news and Bad news - first the bad - because of COVID this series is not happening live. Good News - some of the concerts are being recorded in our Cherry Hill location on a Bösendorfer 225.

Clipper Erickson is a fine pianist and he will be performing music of Nathaniel Dett, the Canadian composer. Here is the link: https://princetonsummerchamberconcerts.org/

Join me at 7:30 pm Eastern!

ThankS Rich I am also loving the music and the beautiful sounds of the piano. So far I have only listened to the Memorial and Magnolias. Magnolias was was a very enjoyable ,melodic ,late Romantic piece I suppose. The other which I call the "Memorial" (cannot remember the name) seems to grow out of that short bass line which opens the piece. Both pieces become quite triumphant at certain stages which suites the Bosendorfer piano.
I have not listened to the Suite which explores the mystical images of an ancient religion.
The mystical exploration reminds me of Scriabin and his religious experiences.I do not think the
music is at all like Scriabin in this composer, but I shall see when I have listened to the Suite.

"Roses on your cross" Yes I am a rather orthodox so its a bit.......... scary. A story often exists behind music. For example Symphony Fantastique (Berlioz). I am sure I spelt the title of the Berlioz piece wrongly?(as usual ,can't spell anymore)
