Just had my weekly piano lesson and didn't get to this Hymn, When We All Get To Heaven and forgot to ask. I need help with the fingering for the RH in measure 23 please!
http://forum.pianoworld.com/ubbthreads.php/galleries/3000068/fingering-needed-rh-measure-23.html

Thank you!

PS Couldn't figure out how to get picture to show up here. Instructions said "Notice that each picture has three links under it, for Thumbnail, Medium, and Full." but I didn't see any links under my picture. Sorry.

I would hold the G and B with 1 and 2, and play the rising notes, E to A, with 4-5-4-5.

Is that the difficulty you're having?

+1. If your hands are not very large, you'll have to release G and B in measure 2 before playing upper G (sustain them using the pedal).

Alternatively if your hands are big enough, lower G in measure 2 can be played by the left hand, the rest becomes easy.

Change bar 23 to (from bottom to top) low E, G a tenth away (if you can reach?) in the LH and play EDB in the right hand. Sounds much better and easier to play =p

Thanks zrtf90 for the fingering. That is what I was doing, but just wanted to make sure that I was doing it correctly.
Iaroslav Vasiliev and KlinkKlonk - I wish my hands were big enough to play the lower G in LH cause that's a good suggestion. But I can only reach an octave.

You could use KlinkKlonk's suggestion by quickly breaking (rolling) the chord in the left hand. Your right hand thumb would be on the B where it could stay for beat 3.

Regards,
This makes the most sense to me. I can play a tenth easily but couldn't come close to the 4-5-4-5 fingering suggested in a earlier post. That fingering is only possible for someone with extremely large hands unless one chooses not to hold the B or hold down the pedal for the first two beats.

It's a hymn. Just drop the G. Nobody will notice.
