It’s not strictly piano related but what are your favourite lockdown youtube discoveries? Here’s one of mine, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Check out their lockdown stuff. I recommend “Thank you for the Music”, “Limehouse Blues” and “Wuthering Heights”!

I have been watching a lot of this guy's videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/RobertsPianos/videos

He takes in ancient used pianos and restores them. In many of the videos he will go over a recent acquisition and explain the various issues he comes across as well as the methods he thinks they might employ in rectifying them.

Ah cool. I only discovered them a few months ago when youtube's algorithm popped them up on my list of suggestions.

Yes I've seen a few of Roberts Pianos videos. I really like them too. They had gorgeous old Grotrian Steinweg concert grand for sale a couple of years ago which if I had a place big enough to put it in I would have loved.

Wow, they do a surprisingly good job of really sounding like The Beatles! Very good indeed. Just subscribed!

I really like His channel as well

He takes in these old pianos, & gives Them the care & attention They deserve

I’ve found His videos very informative & pleasant to watch

He had an older, lovely Bösendorfer 120 upright, that I was quite fond of

At about 1:00 you can see her hands playing from pianist perspective. It's unusual and interesting, they must have fasten a camera on her chest.

Everything I can find with the British drummer Yussef Dayes and bassist Rocco Palladino playing together.

https://youtu.be/NwVtIPeYIeQ
(with Mansur Brown, great guitarist, too...stay with it until the buildup near the end)

https://youtu.be/O_IZI7YQLsU
(with nice keyboard playing from Charlie Stacey, too)

https://youtu.be/O7GaK516Wkk
(with Tom Misch on guitar and a couple of modern dancers, filmed in Ukraine)

https://youtu.be/4ak5Vsk0FNI
(with Tom Misch on vocals)

It's too distracting for me to listen to classical music while working from my desk, and I like listening to other things since I spend most every workday in the classical music world...

Noting from their videos they have played in the US as well.

I came across this channel today:
2sharps1flat

It's 4 classical pianists who do fun challenges (e.g. guess the piano piece from hearing only the first note etc) and skits. Looks like the channel's only been around a few months but I look forward to seeing their future content.
