I thought Ballade pour Adeline was his own composition. Whatever my opinion is about Clayderman, and regardless of who wrote it, I can't dismiss the fact Ballade pour Adeline is one of the most famous piano pieces, especially among general public

I hear more piano action then music. I think it's actually his nails hitting the keys He also probably don't have it too loud. I don't think it's nails, it's exactly thumping of the keys.

Well, I guess he has his volume turned down, probably due to neighbor complaints. Hardly surprising JK

Clayderman is edgy by comparison! But Clayderman needs to turn his piano up a bit, unless more decibels would cause his hair to fall off.

Yes, the composer who wrote Ballade pour Adeline, also wrote this piece, Wedding of Love, or Marriage d'amour, in the original language, French obviously. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_de_Senneville

About the sound of the nails hitting the keys, just heard something similar but on a acoustic grand so seems that microphone from phones easily pick it up. Whatch when he goes fast with his hands https://youtu.be/UmC8pNOaNnw

What the music lacks in harmonic diversity, it makes up for in repetition.

Sums up Clayderman's music. hahaha. no it's not that bad, Trite perhaps.

Well, I guess he has his volume turned down, probably due to neighbor complaints. Hardly surprising JK From one perspective perhaps not, but considering his success, I quote Wikipedia: "As of 2006, his record sales number at approximately 150 million, and has 267 gold and 70 platinum albums to his credit. He is popular in Asia and is noted by the Guinness Book of World Records as being 'the most successful pianist in the world'", it is a bit surprising that he still has to worry about neighbors. He should be rich. Perhaps it is not any neighbors but his wife who can't stand piano music. That, or some producer / music label got very rich, and not him.

He has a bunch of books covering his speakers. That's why the sound of the action seems more prominent.

That video has more than 115 million views! The composer also wrote Ballade pour Adeline, a Clayderman classic. Hi everybody, My version of the same piece "Mariage d'Amour" have only 45 views... If you guys, friends of this forum view it, it may go up to 50 views! and that will make my day. Here the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwFil3jQii8_______________ Piano Luminescent

I am surprised he didn't just use the line-out. It would have sounded great.
Playing a recording (the original sampling) through quiet studio monitors into a microphone that doesn't seem to be that great in an acoustically poor room is a recipe for a terrible recording.
I enjoyed Clayderman back when he was more popular, but I did get fatigued with his music quickly. I had no idea he wasn't American!
