Hello everyone!

This is the second episode of the series in which I'm trying to debunk Wim Winters.
This episode is about the 5th Symphony, and how the historical sources are against him yet again.

I hope you enjoy!
This week's Wim

After all that has been written on this forum about Mr. Winters, I don't see that anything is to be gained by a further thread to "debunk" his theories.

Also it keeps giving the guy needless publicity.

But, need I say, I think I'd be with just about anything that debunks it, because there's no end to the debunkableness. grin

However, as with certain other things in our present world, there seems to be no chance of convincing anyone who believes in the thing. It seems to be impervious to arguments, facts, or rationale -- so why bother.....

I think generally speaking, not just for WW that the principle of our open society is that anybody can say whatever he wants (as long as it is legal) including circulating fake informations or fake theories, and that implies also that there is a well informed response to restore the balance. So Pianoman53, I think you are doing a healthy job in posting these vids.

I said that already, i do think WW does not actually believe in everything he says, so there is no point trying to convince him, but it is usefull that there are vids with facts that balance his positions for other people.

Thanks!
These videos are not to convince him. Either he's a total nut job and can't be convinced, or is so far down the rabbit hole that he knows thst there's no way back.

But his Waldstein was just posted in one of the biggest piano pedagogical groups on Facebook, and some people are buying into it. Imagine if they teach their students this bull?! So they are made for the ones that might be in the risk group.

Teachers are buying into it????

Well, I guess there isn't necessarily any requirement or standard for being a "piano teacher"...
