I don't know... I'll have to give it some thought.

That thought did occur to me early on as well, the combination of attempting to impose censorship on posts and ill considered personal attacks did start my fingers itching but overall I thought just reporting the post for its personal attacks was better than doing a disservice to the, presumably entirely innocent, original youtuber making the videos.

Before writing some 'critical reviews' I think I might out of courtesy contact the original youtuber so that if she actually knows this 'friend' stirring up trouble she might have the opportunity to advise him that going out to deliberately make enemies of a whole forum of 'netters is perhaps not a road to good publicity.

Hi LadyBird - people cry “you’re not being objective” when your opinion differs from theirs. We can’t even be objective about our own objectivity. Just a silly human tendency, I guess.

YouTube comment sections can be so incredibly vile. I posted several videos of myself playing the fiddle and five-string banjo. I have comments set to manual approval for all of them. Most have been pleasant, but a few have been nasty and even racist.

If I ever post any more videos on YouTube (not bloody likely!) I will completely disable comments.

I agree with you J&J yet we should all strive to be objective otherwise we may have nothing to advise people about a piano. But yes when it comes to pianos and PW it can be very difficult because people and emotion all come into play and so we cling onto fragments of objectivity.
WHY because music and emotion are closely related. Then one has people and pianos and ........

Still I personally I did not say anything beyond my one line statements 😔 with these
little emojo's at what I hoped was the end of the thread ,so I was essentially not part of the conversation.
I did not like at all the way we "active members of PW" were described as "sick " and then someone
else's "view of life" was critised all because we are not falling over backwards over a
YouTube poster and a Samick piano by the "mysterious friend " !!! ? What ?
Talk about vinegar and flies .....? Just plain weird !
