I can see why you love it. The Bach speaks wonderfully well. Enjoy!

Birdeye maple finish on the rim always gets me, I wish I had that on my piano smile The tone sounds great in the Bach video.

I actually like the F278 a lot, I feel like it has the right balance across all registers (at least the one sitting at Faust Harrison 2 years ago felt that way). However the room the piano is in, the voicing, etc. can all have an effect. I agree Herbie Hancock's doesn't sound very good in the videos I've seen.

Oh the f278 is nice. I didn’t consider only because of price!

Congratulations! F228 is one of my favourite Fazioli models (not that there isn one that I don't like) and got to play one at a concert in Fort Worth a couple of years ago.

Phil is also a great guy.

That is one spectacular piano. It has a magnificent, balanced tone on your Bach recording. More recordings, please! And don't be surprised if you discover you are a better pianist than you ever thought.

We have had a 3 really incredible grands bought recently-- Fazioli, August Forster, and a Bosendorfer. It must be something in the air 🤔

I can’t speak for others, but the COVID quarantining, gave Me time to really contemplate & then act upon, something I’d been considering for awhile

Knowledge of the August Forster 215 and an interest in auditioning one simmered since 2003, then 3 years of serious intent to find an example as they are quite rare in my area, culminating in the January audition of a used 2006 model, and finally purchasing new with the 5 months that followed waiting for the factory to complete it and transit time. Now with the COVID quarantining, a most wonderful companion to spend hours with!

Just a follow up on this

My Grand was delivered today. I asked the guys how business has been, considering the Covid pandemic. They told Me Classic Pianos (where I purchased Mine) has been selling lots & lots of pianos, and they know, because They’ve been delivering them

FWIW

Congratulations!
I also own an F-228 for almost 3 years now and am so grateful for making that decision.
The piano remains extraordinary even now when tuned less regularly.
Here is a latest recording of it:

I am sure you will have many amazing piano moments! Cheers, Zeljko

Z, I already saw your Scriabin performance elsewhere. Lovely playing. I really love the piano. Wish you many years of playing. Retsacnal and others thanks for the congratulations.
