Our own Joseph Fleetwood will be live streaming a concert from Florida. At this point he will be live on Facebook, but I mentioned to him that he should use YouTube Live because it requires no membership to view the stream.

Anyway, I am certain he will fill in some blanks when he sees that I have posted this. I am not sure he wanted this posted, but too bad Joseph. We are watching you play and there is NOTHING you can do about it. (Sorry, been watching some old Jerry Seinfeld episodes and that last line was George Costanza in my head).

Anyway, here is the timing. I hope Joseph will post details:

1pm Central Daylight Time
2pm Eastern Daylight Time
7pm British Summer Time
8pm Central European Summer Time

Thanks Rich!

I'll post some more details of links etc later, but I know I'm going to play ABEGG Variations by Schumann, and Mozart B-flat sonata (forgot the K number I'll go look it up, the one with the 4-in-a-bar allegro not the 3-in-a-bar, I'm crap at remembering Op., K., and BWV numbers.....)

I hope it will be available for later playback as the time is during US working hours

Do you mean --tafatefi tate taa tate tate tate taaa ? (not sure if I got those french time names correct ? ) I am thinking of K333. I think the other sonata is K570 (I think )
I am sure the performers is a better description than the French time names.(I am not at home now so cannot check.)

I'm just saying how I sing it Lady Bird but yeah you got the french times correct! I actually learned that system before I learned the actual names for them. Crotchet for instance has two syllables, but Ta only has one and so it makes more sense. Quavers can be said in time as can semiquavers..... and I've just remembered again that y'all are mostly American on here and might be thinking 'lockdown is getting to this guy, what's he on about?'

In the UK we use:

Breve (Double whole note, straight sided rectangle)
Semibreve (whole note)
Minim (Half note)
Crotchet (quarter note)
Quaver (eighth note)
Semiquaver (sixteenth)
Demisemiquaver (32nd)
Hemidemisemiquaver (64th)
and for the grand finale:
Quasihemidemisemiquavers (128th)

Well my description was very mechanical, your way far more musical !

Just looking at the music now , I see you were being kind when you said I got them all correct.I see I
missed the dotted crotchets (dotted 1/4 beats ) and too many tate's before we get to the
next dotted 1/4.
Anyway by now everyone must think I am "dotty"
It was just a method I used with some kids to clap rhythmic patterns.
However I would love to hear your performance of this piece Joe. It has always been a favorite of mine !

Did anyone notice you played the wrong finale for the sonata ?
I am sure it would have wonderful even if you played the wromg slow movements !

So take you choice on movements we shall not mind !

Well I didn't notice and I was playing! I'm sure what probably happened is there'll have been someone in the audience who thought "hmmm" and just never said anything.

I'd better get practising! I've only practiced on a Yamaha digital for the past three months. This could be interesting! I'm interested to see if it has in any way hindered my development. It certainly hasn't been the most inspiring practice instrument although it's been fully functional! Of course, I have no idea how the piano in Palm Harbor is, but it won't be worse than some of the absolute turkeys I have to practice on in 'Bama.

I can wait....

It'll be broadcast on a particular facebook page. I don't actually have means to live stream it myself on YouTube because the microphone on my iPhone is malfunctioning. I'll post details here later!

Joe’s recital will appear on this Facebook page:

https://m.facebook.com/stalfredpalmharbor/

That is the address since I copied it from my phone. If you are watching from a computer I think you substitute “www” for the “m”.

Very nice! I wasn't able to hear it in real time, but it's still available at the link, so I was able to listen to it a little later in the day. I enjoyed it.
