The CVP-x01 is always the bottom-of-the line model. And the CVP-x07 or -x09 is the high-end.

FYI, the CVP-701 was released in 2015. I would be reluctant to buy a piano any older than that.
But the CVP-x01 models are bollocks, IMO. They're nothing more than the low-end Clavinova CLP-x20 or CLP-x30 with the accompaniment features added.
Low-end tone. Low-end speakers. Low-end keyboard action. I wouldn't want one.

The CVP-400 series was released in 2008, and likely sold over a three-year period. So that CVP-407 is at least nine years old, and possibly twelve.
It's a high-end model, but far too old for my likes. I wouldn't want anything more than five years old.

So I would pass on both pianos.

BTW ... what are the asking prices for these pianos?

The CVP40x was released in 2008, but CVP50x, the next year (2009).

Only CLP have a steady 3 years period since 2002.

You're right, FL. I missed that. So the CVP-407 is surely twelve years old.

So what about CSP-150? Can you compare it with CVP series in terms of functionality?

I am not only looking for a piano like CLP series which has only good piano specs.
I am looking for a something that has accompaniment speciality, good rithym, follow my light, etc.

A used CVP-701 at 2800$ ?

At Thomann, a new one is 2500€... 2700$ at the current currency ratio.

About the CVP-407... Nice keyboard (NW), nice amplification, but old piano samples (AWM synthesiser... the one which switch velocity layers. without transition). Then you have to decide if piano samples are so important. If yes, you will have to take a newer piano (Pure CF sampling, with blended samples according to the DPBSD) but for the same price, it will be less interesting about other aspects.

The CSP150 needs a tablet to be used as an arranger. I see it as an issue since I don’t know how much time the Yamaha app will be maintained.

My experience about iOS application is that some updates break some. My experience about Yamaha software is that Yamaha has been able to release a CLP150 in 2002 with one important software (file exchange utility) not compatible with Windows XP released in 2001 !!

If I was really interested in a piano/arranger, I would prefer a CVP. But the CVP705 is rather expensive. And the CVP701 has an old keyboard (GH3X). I would prefer a NW(X).

You seem more interested in the "toy" section - rhythms, lights... than the "piano" section - keyboard action and tones... which is OK, but these 2 models will only give you the below average of both and will be difficult to turn around and resell. If you're more interested in a one-man-band keyboard, you're much better off with a used Yamaha Tyros, PSR-S or even PSR-E keyboard. I know a guy who earned close to $200k playing one-man-band 3 nights a week using the PRS -E423 ($200). If you ever want to get serious with piano playing, you can always get a dp with a good action and keep your arranger keyboard. My only use MP11se for piano & digital piano sounds; I use my 76-notes Tyros 5 for everything else. Good luck with your search!

Thank you for your comment. I am not looking for something out of piano section.
Psr type keyboards with soft keys feels strange to me.
