Mitsuko Uchida is famous for her "hamstring stretch" bows. In this performance, she gives one of her trademark bows at the very beginning as well as at the conclusion. Start watching around 32:00 (or you can watch the whole performance....she's a great pianist):

Another video similar to the first one one this thread. The first example is actually good I think but all the rest are jokes. Some really good serious advice about bowing at the end.

You often get a good idea of the tightness of a performer's hamstrings from their bowing.

Yuja, for instance, almost touches her forehead to her shins when she bows...... whistle
