It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Look at this promo video. Maybe a Bosendorfer 280VC?
Piano: 1982 NY Steinway Model B, Yamaha AvantGrand N3X VST(preference in order): VSL Synchron Pianos, Vienna Imperial, Garritan CFX, VI Labs Modern U, Ivory II American Concert D, Pianoteq
Considering that in the past they immediately added newly released pianos to their piano bundle, I would not expect any new announcements during the sale, i.e. until at least June 3rd, to avoid the mess.

I analyzed the name on the fallboard to the extent possible (with IrfanView), and it seems to begin with a large B, and be fairly long. I'm reasonably convinced it's a Bõsendorfer with extra, black keys to the left. Whether it's the 290 or the 280 I wouldn't want to take a guess at.
Physical instruments: Roland FP-30, and E-28 Virtual instruments: "The Experience" piano collection, NI "The Maverick", Galaxy II Grand piano collection, Synthogy Ivory II Studio Grands, Production Voices Estate Grand, Garritan CFX Lite, Pianoteq 7.5.2 Focus: 1850±100 years
So glad I haven’t bought the concert d yet. Biting my nails until tomorrow. Do they announce based on a US workday or European? How long do I have to wait.
I got my Steinway D standard library and there are still things to do to make it act as expected, but I'd be really tempted if it's another concert grand......

I also bought but returned it because for my use I would need the ribbon mic that you only get In the full version and it’s just to much money for a beginner like me. Maybe in 5 years I’m up for it
It was beautiful, it really was in my headphones but in my internal speaker yikes did not sound good. So on a better piano/speaker and more skilled I might re-buy it but the full versions.
But maybe this could be something really nice if the price is right 😁
This is exciting. I love their promo video. That was a fun way to generate interest. I have to chuckle because today I was actually considering an update to the full version of the Bösendorfer 130 upright (I currently have the standard version).
I've accumulated some cash back rewards on one of my credit cards and it would just about cover the cost of the update. I'm just not satisfied with the Bösendorfer upright (standard version) and I would like to try the full version and see if it makes a difference.
I'm going to hold off and see what they bring tomorrow. I can't believe I turned into a VST junkie.
Isn't the Vienna Imperial the same as the Bösendorfer 290 that they have in the video below?
It is indeed. Vienna Imperial could do with an update, and a "Synchronized" version based on the old samples (they've done this with several libraries) would give it a new lease of life, but more importantly for me, the original VI would need to have some outstanding issues ironed out.

I would love for them to record the big 290 grand in their smaller more intimate stage B setting. Do away with a lot of the ambient reverb and give is a nice clean concert grand piano sound.
I like the cleaner sound of the Blüthner and Bösendorfer upright (both done in soundstage B), but the Blüthner is a bit archaic in sound and the Bösendorfer a bit too weak.
That's why I was considering an upgrade to the full Bösendorfer 130 library to see if I can get a little more out of it with some of the additional close mic options.
Wondering if they are going to synchronised the VI or record the whole thing again from scratch?
I suspect the only way they can fix the out of tune notes is to record the whole thing from scratch. Trying to record just a few notes I suspect will not work, I would guess there would be subtleties in the different setups that would produce a slightly different sound. You would end up fixing one problem and having a new one.
I also think to do half pedalling will require new recordings as well.
I seem to be coming to conclusion that for VSL a completely new recording of the piano is the way to go rather than trying to give VI a new lease on life, I'm sorry John. I love VI also. Waiting in anticipation to see what is to come.

Probably. 😩
Still, a whole new Imperial is good. If they capture the magical tenor the way they did with Vienna Imperial, I'll be impressed. I'll feel a bit sorry for my old pal Vienna Imperial. Ah well... Onwards and upwards.
It doesn’t matter what they decide to ‘Synchronize’, Pianoteq 7 is now rounding the corner, and to say the least, it will leave ALL sampled pianos in the dust!
Yes, the beginning of the end is near, but I’d still like to congratulate sampling for hanging around for so long. You had a good run, uncle sample, but it’s time to retire now.
