I've noticed that the G1 Air isn't really stable when playing, as seen in this video :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXHUJvanWJE

2 minutes and 46 seconds into the video, you can clearly see that the piano wobbles slightly (keep an eye on the bottom left corner of the video). Either the floor wasn't totally flat, or this is a serious problem. And this is the new version with the fully closed back.
They even state in the description that the new back means less wobble... Wobble in a cabinet piano. I thought that was exclusive to keyboards on X-stands...

Anyone with a new version G1 Air who can confirm (or deny) this ?

Been digging some more...

Look here at 2 minutes, 5 seconds into the video :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qS2o8jZMsPA&t=

Watch the 'fallboard' move when he presses two buttons to layer two sounds. I mean, that's really horrible quality if that is really how the G1 Air is built. I know there are several people here with a G1 Air.
It's an intruiging piano and I think it looks and sounds wonderfully, but with this kind of low quality build, they should be ashamed to put it on the market. I hope other cabinet pianos in this price bracket from Kawai, Roland or Yamaha are a lot sturdier than this...

Yeah, it seems to swing front and back a tiny bit. I thought Gear4Music might have small "studio" space somewhere where they just put some cheap laminate tiles on top of too much foam but I guess at least in the second video there's a proper floor.

(Not that I really can tell anything about the floor from video clips.)

It might of course be a non-issue in real life.

But if you want us to convince you to not buy a Korg then I'm sure there are some who don't like the RH3 action and some who are worried about the polyphony.

Me myself just don't like the looks of the G1 that much. But it might actually be a pretty decent product.

The polyphony actually doesn't seem to be a problem because of the way the sound is processed. Read about it on more than one site, need to look it up.
And there's actually nothing wrong with Korg's RH3 : it's not as refined as Roland's PHA50 or Kawai's RHIII but I find it to be well suited for playing piano, even though it only has two sensors.
Anyway, that's not the issue here.

Another thing : I've been watching videos about the new SV2, on Korg's own SV1 stand. To be honest, it isn't entirely stable either. What's up with Korg ?

I have the G1Air the older model bought in 2019 and have never detected any wobble-it is very
solid and sturdy in my opinion

By which you mean that what is visible in the Youtube videos is not there in real life ?

They may not have fitted the 'anti-tipping' thingies at each of the back corners perhaps? The stand is fairly tall and slim, so perhaps without those brackets etc. etc.

My ancient Casio CPS-7 has a narrow stand like that but has two 'feet' that stick out front and back - no problems there with wobbling, but for the rest...

I can only speak for my G1 Air and I have never noticed a wobble-but I also have the feet stabilizer extensions attached-maybe the you tube demo that was not the case
