It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
I currently have a K&M 18950 stand for my MP11SE, very good quality and sturdy. But to be honest, after a few months, I find it really doesn't look attractive at all.
So, I'm looking for an alternative. The other alternative from K&M would be an Omega 18810 stand, but the support depth is only 345 mm, whereas my MP11SE has a depth of 453 mm. It would overlap too much and I'm afraid it won't be stable anymore. Been looking at stands from different brands but the usual column stands won't do, and neither will a Z-stand (which I personally find horrible to look at).
Yamaha has the LG-800 stand, which is fully adaptable in height and width, and has a depth of over 500 mm. So dimension wise, it would do perfectly and I find it more 'substantial' looking than my K&M stand. It is quite pricey, though, so I was wondering whether anyone has any experience with this stand.
Shoot !

Lol, that Yamaha stand is just another flavour of hideousness. Stands like K&M are designed to be functional and portable not pretty. I guess on-stage you can always use an outer-cover to improve the stand's look from the audiences perspective.
Even some of the more expensive stands are not IMO pretty. Take a gander at the £500 V-piano stand:
It's not exactly going to win any prizes at the home decor awards. My favourite stand design is the Nord Grand stand, which is basically a portable piano stand made for a stage-piano.
Maybe some of the portable piano stands might fit the MP11SE. Other than that, I think you're probably looking at music desks or home-made piano stands designed to mimic cabinets. I will say one thing though: if Kawai were to create a nicer stand for the home to fit the MP7SE or MP11SE, I think some people would buy it. As mine lives in a room just for playing, I'm not concerned about its aesthetics: want it to be solid as a rock. The K&M stands are grand for that.
Kind regards,
Doug.

I have the LG-800 stand for my MP11SE and you can see it here:https://forum.pianoworld.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2934729/my-mp11se.html#Post2934729
Having looked at every option I could find I felt it was the most attractive (least unattractive ?).
I've mounted a black veneer shelf behind on which sits the cables, a monitor and a Mac mini.
When I move house shortly I plan to extend the width of the rear shelf a little and have some k&m 26774 desktop stands so the monitors just hover nicely over the corners of the piano.
The only thing which offends is as its extendable you see a chunk of silver pole where it extends. I keep threatening to loop a piece of stretchy black fabric from front to back to hide this.
It's an expensive stand but very well made and I figured I'd never have to buy another again.
Page not found when clicking on 'pricing'... I guess an 'enclosure' like that will probably cost five times as much as the MP11SE. I'd rather buy a CA99 then

This actually looks really good. I'm also thinking about replacing my iLoud Micro Monitors with a pair of iLoud MTM's, placing them horizontally on either corner of the MP11SE. I would be using the MP11SE's music rest for my iPad Pro, won't be using a laptop. But you've peaked my interest. What are those stands for your monitors, by the way ? And also, does the LG-800 come with some sort of rubber or foam protections to put between the keyboard and the stand ?

I used to use an IPad Pro but I very occasionally mess with DAWs or VSTs and have now got very used to being able to display 2 pages of music side by side with page turns done by pressing the piano pedal on that monitor. I miss using the Apple Pencil though so sometimes revert back to the iPad Pro when mastering fingering for a piece.
The stands are Quiklok maybe BS542. I had a lot of Quiklok gear, it's reasonable well made but not particularly good from an aesthetic perspective. They do the job but I'd like to engineer them out of the setup.
The Lg800 doesn't come with rubber. The piano has feet which sit inside holes on the stand. I think because I didn't adjust the width to the nearest mm the feet are in the holes in such a way that the piano itself isn't resting on the metal.
Amazon do self adhesive rolls of suitable rubber like material if you want to go that route.
I should add I'm particularly proud of the black metal shelf that hovers a few mm above the piano for the computer keyboard and mouse. I should probably get out more, though that's true for all of us at the moment.
Sadly my wife vetoed my purchase of a black Mac keyboard wth black keys.....

Looks better from front end on right enough. What monitors are you using?

They are Presonus E66. I'm a lot happier with them now they are horizontal. I'd stupidly forgotten they are designed to work either way.
MTM design, just like the iLoud ones... Although I might go for a pair of Roland CM30's instead, I kind of like the more 'spatial' sound of a keyboard amp...

This may be a bit late for my reply for you now, but I'm using a K&M Omega stand with my MP11SE. I have the second tier attachment which is another 70mm longer. The support comes right up to the metal lip along the front of the keyboard. They look very elegant and it couldn't be more stable!

I've considered an Omega stand and I know the quality of K&M stands as I currently have the 18950 myself. But that Yamaha LG800 really is the only stand currently on the market that you can just buy and make the MP11SE look good on it without doing any DIY modifications. Think I'm going to go that route, and as I was looking for a second DP for my appartment, I believe I will keep my K&M 18950 and use it for a Kawai ES8. I've been looking a long time for a suitable 'portable' alternative to my MP11SE and the ES8 seems like a genuine choice. Until I start googling again and find something else. I was even looking at cabinet pianos for my appartment and then replacing the MP11SE with something more portable... I'm so indecisive (sigh...)
Anyway, the ES8 is probably going to be replaced rather sooner than later, but I don't really mind. It's really affordable at the moment when compared to its two main competitors, the Yamaha P515 and the Roland FP90 (which is an oldie as well, and still at full price). And I don't believe I'll have any problem switching from the Grand Feel to the RHIII and back again. I had considered the ES110 at a given moment : it's super portable and has the most 'piano like' keybed in that price range, but ultimately, I don't really need that kind of portability as I'll probably only have to take out the piano a couple of times a year (very small, intimate 'gigs', where the internal speakers will do just fine), and it's not that the ES8 is that 'unmanageable'...
Anyway, keep you posted about what I decide

The pianist in the Japanese band "fhána" appears to agree with you:
I like it the way dhts uses it, back to front. That's what I'm going to do. Will probably keep my iLoud Micro monitors for the moment, they're on K&M mic stands so I can probably tuck them nicely away behind the Yamaha stand. I can always upgrade to iLoud MTM or some other form of amplification or monitor speakers later on, maybe using a couple of Zaor stands, they look quite cool.

Now this could be embarrassing but I think I have it the right way and it's wrong in the video- maybe they wanted the better looking side facing the audience ??
