Hi all,

I might have a renovation in my apartment and might need to move my Novus NV10 around 2 meters or so. What would be the easiest way to do that with as little help as possible. I might have to do it just by myself. Are there any tools (wheel etc) that I can use to do that? The piano now sits on a thin carpet on wooden floor. If anyone had any experience moving this piano around, it would be very helpful to know how!

Thank you!

Renovation during hunker times? That's to be avoided, I think.

As for moving the piano ... Kawai lists it at 280 pounds. You need someone (or two) to help.

The Front Legs doesn't tolerate much Force. Better you find a person for help or use something like this:

Isn't it funny that we ask naturally strangers how to move a piano alone, but do not ask family, neighbors or friends to help us to move it?

Im not talking specifically about the OP. Is a extended trend I see many times..What a world we live in!

I've moved my NV-10 a couple of meters and also to the next room over.

A few meters is doable by yourself if you're careful. My house has hardwood floors and I used plastic "moving coasters" for furniture that I put under the legs. I lifted one end and rotated it towards to direction I wanted it to go, and then lifted the other side to do the same.

Anything more than a couple of meters and you definitely don't want to do that--you'll want another person to help. I had my wife help, and she didn't have to lift it with much strength at all, just stabilize and subsidize the weight so that we could shuffle it into the next room.

It's absolutely correct that the front legs are delicate and you need to be careful with those.
