Hello

Please educate me about some modern instrumental (or not) pieces to learn
ranging from pop rock to "modern" classical.

Here are some that I have in mind (some learned alredy)

Sakamoto - Mr. Lawrence
Elton John - Song for Guy
Vangelis - Chariot of Fire
Yan Tiersen - Amelie
Badalamenti - Twin Peaks Theme
Claydermann - Ballade Pour Adelie
U2 - October
Einaudi - Le Onde
Robert Miles - Children

what else?

Don't be afraid to suggest too pop-ish or obscure stuff.

Jazz welcome as well

Hi

I make no claims that I'm educating you, but here are some Pop/Rock/Jazz suggestions. All are pieces I have played either solo or in bands over the years. And not always very well!

All Blues (Miles Davis)
Funeral for a Friend (Elton John)
Carla/Etude (Elton John)
Root Beer Rag (Billy Joel)
The In Crowd (Ramsey Lewis)
It's a Raggy Waltz (Dave Brubeck)
The Rockestra Theme (Paul McCartney and Wings)

Cheers

I like Yiruma quite much, except "River flows in you" - everybody is playing that piece and I cannot hear it anymore. I like

Kiss the rain
Indigo
If I could see you again
Maybe

(among the ones I have recorded)

Hey thank you for heads up

All Blues (already play this and So What )

Root Beer Rag (I will never be able to play this)

Ramsey Lewis (Thanks I didn't know this musician)

I want to share another little known piece that deserve more attention:

Yoshio Suzuki - Kane ( minimalist japanese jazz)

If anyone is interested once I wrote the score of it since it's impossible to find out there
