Hello everyone,

I am a pianist and composer and I'd like to buy a music production desk with a slide-out keyboard tray but I wonder if it works fine when playing heavily and "aggressively", I would not want to experience any sort of bouncing or wobbling effect.

Does anyone have any experience with slide-out keyboard tray?
Do they produce unwanted bouncing effect? Is there a way to prevent it?

I am currently using a Kawai ES-7 keyboard (https://www.kawai.co.uk/products/archive/es7/) whose weight is 22 Kg and these are the desks I am interested in and which seem to have an adeguate tray:

• Buso Audio Composer 88 (https://busoaudio.com/products/composer-88) + heavy-duty rails (https://busoaudio.com/products/heavy...31547706769494)

• Unterlass Key 88 (https://www.unterlass.info/EN/products/key-88/)

Can you help me?

presumably rated for 120kg which should be fine.
I recall there are several brands of rails for trays and drawers with plenty of different astonishing weight ratings.

Thanks _sem_

I should not have any sort of bouncing then with the 120kg rails, shouldn't I?

Try asking the manufacturer or seller.

I've built a few stands for my digitals over the years so I can say from experience the problem with the Unterlass may be lateral stability. I had to add a board to my stands that looks just like the board at shin height on the busoaudio to keep it from moving side to side when I played. I don't think those tall slender legs will be stable enough without some kind of added bracing. You may find that board on the busoaudio to be a bit low. I put mine up higher so I could extend my leg straight under the stand when I want to stretch out. It looks like it would be easier to mount up higher if it's a problem.
