I always try to see what instruments my favorite artists play. Rufus Wainwright appears to have a Bluthner in his Hollywood home:

He married a German arts producer, which may have something to do with it. Regardless, nice choice.

Also, did anyone see the Mason & Hamlin upright in "Knives Out"? It's the scene where Daniel Craig is introduced.

Stay-at-home affords one leisure time to pay attention to these things.

A very old Blüthner with the original Julius Blüthner music desk, nice touch! I suspect it's a patent action as well, just a hunch. It's had work done to it, going by the red felt. Probably dates from about c.1900-1920 going on the legs. Pre-1900 the legs were slightly more bulbous in design. There you go. Did you know that?

I didn't, thanks Joe. It does sound like an older piano with that quality I can't quite describe, but like. I would like to hear classical music played on it.

That's interesting, you know your Bluthner's Joe !
Actually I liked his necklace, I wonder ,an emerald that size ?
I really enjoyed that ! Thank you !

(It's also nice seeing inside other people's homes ,since we cannot visit anyone anymore. )
