Does anyone know the differences between these two models?

From my understanding the C234 replaced the C232 model, is that correct? What were the changes?

I have seen and tried the C234 which I love, however, I've never seen or played a C232 and somehow I can't see to find almost any information on it on the web. I'm interested in the differences in:

- sound
- material
- construction
- action
- production
- etc?

It's a totally different design. The 232 is based on their older design philosophy (agraffes all the way up), while the 234 has a capo bar in the treble as the front termination of the strings. I've played a handful of C234 and only one C232, so I'm hesitant to compare based on a singular experience, separated by more than a year from one piano to the next. The C234 has the rare distinction of being a piano where I've pretty much loved every one I've ever touched.

Just curious, how was the C232? There's one on the used market in my area but I don't know anything about it and likely won't be able to try it anytime soon due to the coronavirus lock down.

I have not played the new Bechsteins, but whereever I go, I hear that their grands since few years are fabolous and wow. Therefore I would not buy old model, if the money allowes you.

Why are you offering advice on pianos you haven’t even played before?
One of the more curious PW forum behaviors... (and certainly not the first time I’ve seen it happen here)

To the OP,
Check with Sam (PianoworksATL) to see if they still have video of the one they sold last year. Granted, they had done a little work on it.
