Here's some controversy: Steinways are completely overrated. Discuss.

I noticed no one disagreed with you yet.

Just because they are considered the best in the world by the general public and most professional musicians, doesn't necessarily make them over-rated. I do, however, think they are over-priced if you consider the new retail price.

Liberace was definitely the most famous and highest-paid *entertainer* of his day and probably influenced more people than almost any other pianist. In those ways he was "great". He was, however, also, a very technically capable pianist and musician, in addition to brilliant showman. He debuted with the Chicago Symphony at the tender age of 20 with Liszt's 2nd piano concerto to rave reviews.

That’s an interesting comment. May I ask why you say that?

And what may I ask is your personal favorite or what brand do you consider the best?

And perhaps even more important what brand do you think is considered the best by the public in general?

Well, Liberace was indeed a great entertainer, and a great pianist. And he liked Baldwin pianos.

His stage presence and personality was as good as his skills at the piano, which were beyond exceptional.

I enjoyed watching the video, Lady Bird. Thanks for posting it.

There is no "greatest" since many manufacturers, performers, and pianists have differing criteria.
