The Australian musical education board (AMEB) have made their first three grades of online theory courses free during this time when a lot of people are likely stuck at home. You have to register details with them, but the courses go into the shopping cart with a zero dollar value and no credit card information is required.

These are high quality, professionally made and delivered lectures and tests and are recorded as formal credit to courses done with AMEB.

Thanks for the information! Unfortunately I can't seem to get them added to my cart.

I must admit I found the process a bit convoluted. First you have to create an account as an "Account Holder". Then you log out from that and log in as a "Course Candidate". Only once you are in that are can you add a course to your profile and cart. Then you get an email with the course "key number" and PIN. Then you can start the course using the key and PIN. But the lecture is just a video on the website whereas the test on the video requires you to download one of these training app software packages (this keeps track of your score).

On top of that there seem to be different providers depending on what state you are in and you have to go to different versions of the website.

Quite painful but at least the courses at the end are professional and well done.

Agreed, the AMEB website can be overly difficult.

Unfortunately they don't haven't created any online resources for the Music Craft theory course, which my teacher recommends.

Scirocco your comment was extremely helpful, I was able to add all three courses to my cart this evening. Thank you!
