Hi all. I'm new to the forum and have just purchased my first real piano.

Boring reminiscing bit: I grew up in England with a grand piano in the house... my dad's Eavestaff baby grand. I learned to play by ear but never read music. I have always had some kind of synth (DX9, Kawai K4) or MIDI controller.
Recently my wife and I decided to invest in a real piano, so the hunt was on! I looked at a bunch, but really preferred the sound and action of Yamaha's. I wanted a C3 but the only ones available were either way too expensive or miles away in a humid climate (we now live in Colorado!)

(you can wake up now!)

Then scanning the ads one day I saw a local Yamaha CFIII... that I could afford! Tried it out, sounded and played great, so bought it and here it is!

Wow!!!! Love it and love those dark red walls with the piano!! May I ask how big your room is? How does it sound in there?

Thanks ShiroKuro. The room is approx. 17'x12' with a 14' vaulted ceiling which I think helps. It's also open on two sides so there's no escaping my bad playing anywhere in the house! :P

Overall it sounds awesome. The only issue I currently have is the stupid light fixture in the foyer next to the room resonates to E2 and E3... which the cat then thinks is some kind of insect and starts meowing at it!! So it seems my weekend task is to figure out how to fix the light.

Congratulations from another Colorado resident. I know what you mean about having to stick to dry climate pianos! :-)
