I notice my px870 tends to buzz or rattle a little bit at loud volume. It’s a little annoying. The noise appears to be coming from the upper left because this is where the deeper notes emanate. Maybe the right too, I’m not certain.
I’ve tried pressing firmly on various places of the cabinet to see if I can mute the rattle. Tried removing the music stand, tried pressing on speaker housings, but so far no luck, l haven’t been able to pin point the rattle source. It probably is coming from within the keyboard/speaker housing... perhaps where/how the speakers are mounted? Who knows?
I hate the thought of taking the thing apart to hopefully fix the rattle. Maybe add some felt or rubber here and there.... who knows? All I do know is that loud volume, I definitely get a buzz/rattle and I’d like this to stop. I suppose this could be a problem with press wood and plastic construction compared to something more robust?
I can accentuate the buzz/ rattle by switching to vibraphone mode then hitting a low note. Again, a louder volume setting.... say 3/4 up, the cabinet buzzes.
Anybody else have a problem with their DP buzzing or rattling?
No, I fortunately haven't experienced any vibration/buzzing at higher volume with mine... but I normally use my PX-870's included speakers simultaneously with a pair of Presonus Eris E5 XT studio monitors, so I perhaps don't have the piano's volume knob set as high as yours. I've had no issues with my Casio, aside from a faulty sustain pedal when I first bought it last fall. (Casio promptly sent out a new pedal bar) I have approximately 300 hours of playing time to date on my PX-870. I absolutely love
